Hair follicles have 3 growth stages and each has a unique life span; if not we'd all suffer from Alopecia, a condition that causes sudden baldness. Lasers can only destroy a hair if and when it's in the third growth stage; we can't pinpoint when that is so consistent treatments are needed every 4 to 6 weeks. Hormones trigger new growth over time, requiring more treatment. Works best on fair skin with coarse, dark hair. Not safe for darker tones as lasers target pigment
